Vincent D'Onofrio questions
Posted by Lorrie LynchThanks for all the thoughtful posts last week with questions for Vincent D'Onofrio. They show a thorough knowledge of his background and work. I'll try to fit in as many as possible. I've never interviewed him so it will be interesting. I'll let you know how it goes as soon as it's done.

Congradulations to the D'Onofrio Family on the
birth of the newest member of their Family. So now not only are Vincent and Carin Parents again, but now Leila has two Brothers to Love and Elias is now a "BIG BROTHER". What an appropriate
day for Baby to "pick" to make his "DEBUT" (already a celebrety). He chose the one day set aside to show LOVE. A creation of the Love His Parents have for each other. GOD BLESS!!!!
Vincent is my favorite actor. I have seen him in quite a few movies as well as my favorite show LO:CI. He is so natural. I have also seen him in different interviews. He is such a humble person.I hope Carin knows what a lucky woman she is. I'm looking for his clone!
i like vincent very much, but i am concerned .On the last airing of his show, he seemed ill and
was overweight. did not look as he was able to get around . i hope he is not ill..
Vincent, you are well known even in a very very small town in Austria near Vienna.
Our police unit loves the way you play Goren,
i hope you will go on with CI forever.
Can't await the interview,
Angi
Vincent,
You are doing a great job on L&O-CI. You are a huge part of the reason I love the show,
Corresponde respetar sus silencios, disfrutar su obra y preguntarle si algún día nos premiará con un film autobiográfico.
my question how does vincent feel about the internet? and does he have his own website or blog?
I am a great fan of vincent. I have seen many of his movies. could you ask him if he is doing another movie? Also, is he planning to stay on ci as long as it will air? Tell hm happy birthday for me, ok? thanks a million. betty fenn
I wondered if Mr D'Onofrio knew what a dedicated fanbase he has all over the world, and that through our appreciation for him many of us have made new friendships via the Internet?
I'd like to know if he will ever cook at Rib City.how does he feel about his new business venture and will they share more than one location or is he just a silent partner?
will he be in Utah during the holidays to greet fans or sign autographs. i live in Napa,CA. but i would make the trip just to shake his hand and thank him for sharing his wisdom and talent with all of us.

Could you please ask Vincent to wish me a Happy Birthday? It's a lousy day for a birthday, but that would cheer me up! :)
I hope it is not to late to ask questions, but could you ask the extremely talented Mr. D'Onofrio if he is ever going to do a western? It seems to be the one genre that he has missed among the many movies and television shows he has done.
Also, can you ask him why so many of his movies are so difficult, or expensive to get? I especialy love one of his earlier movies HOUSEHOLD SAINTS and thought that he was so believable in the role from when his character, Joseph Santangelo was a randy young butcher, a loving husband, and a devoted, but conflicted father to a mentally ill daughter.
He proved himself to be a fine young character actor in that movie and he is equally captivating in the role of Det. Robert Goren.
I especially love the fact that he is willingly to go out on a risky limb with a character, yet find the common humanity, or emotion within the role that connects us with that particular individual.
I know Vincent will be sad & reflective today, Sept 11th, as is every New Yorker (including myself), so a fitting question for today would be to ask Vincent how 9-11 has affected him personally as well as professionally.
Thank you,
Donna
i may be to late but would you tell him he has a " mad" fan in lancanshire, england who thinks he's wonderfull and has all his films. thanks. judith.
I know that this is not Vincent's favorite thing to do(give an interview) but as one of his many fans, I look forward to each chance to see VDO as himself. It helps me really appreciate, even more, the talent he has to create his characters. Especially characters like Goren become much clearer when you have the contrast of the actor to compare it to. So thanks to you and to Mr. D'Onofrio. I have one question. I always wondered if he is able to watch movies and lose himself in them or is he watching with the eye of an actor-watching the acting, staging, lighting etc?
It would be a shame if someone who has entertained so many could not be entertained himself.
Thanks again
Nila
Hello, just in case I can still ask a question;
When it comes to filming movies and getting to visit strange, different or just interesting locations, what was his favorite place to film?
Or does he prefer to stay home and film in NYC?
Also if you don't want to ask that one here is another.
Where does he see the Goren/Eames relationship going in the future? What does he think of it now?
Thank you for giving us a chance to ask questions.
Much appreciated.
I left acting 20 years ago from East Carolina University because my soon to be husband then could not handle what 'acting was'. I now live in the Charlotte metro area and the only time I regret that decision is when I see Vincent D'onofrio become such amazing charaters that I wish I was there with him.
It is very nice that you are getting the chance to interview Vincent,I'm one of his biggest fans and i would give anything to sit down and have a chat with him. I know that it might be to late to ask a question, but if you can fit this one in could you ask him for me if he would consider meeting and getting to know one of his fans and if he would have the time. Thank-you very much Tracey
This is so very cool. I can't wait to see the end result of the interview. Thanks to you.
I second that. Thank you. And a big thank you to Vincent D'Onofrio. I hope he knows he has some of the most loyal fans around.
How sweet of you to thank us! It's our pleasure.
Thank you for interviewing my favorite actor. And could you tell Vincent that his fans appreciate this. We know that he is a private person and doesn't really enjoy this kind of thing.
Sincerely,
Donna
